Environmental and Geotechnical Drilling & GeoProbe™ Services

West Michigan Drilling (WMD) provides an extensive range of services over a multitude of drilling applications, including: roadway, bridge and dam drilling, geotechnical drilling for construction activities, environmental drilling, waterway, sewer and landfill drilling, and mining, quarry and gravel pit exploration. WMD has also had broad experience drilling in and around active petroleum storage and distribution facilities and is skilled in direct-push techniques using a GeoProbe™ sampling rig. Our clients include engineering and consulting firms, governmental agencies, and construction, industrial and manufacturing companies.
West Michigan Drilling has experience with many drilling techniques, including hollow-stem auger drilling, mud rotary drilling, air rotary drilling and rock coring. We also have the knowledge and expertise to install many types and sizes of monitoring wells and remediation wells, i.e. purge, sparge and vapor extraction. In addition, our team is experienced in direct-push techniques using a GeoProbe™ sampling rig.
Currently, West Michigan Drilling owns and operates two CME-550X all-terrain drill rigs, a 540U GeoProbe™ sampling rig, GeoProbe™ 66DT sampling rig, and an All-Terrain Site Investigation System. Our 540U GeoProbe™ allows for the placement of 1" wells and the installation of intrinsic bioremediation slurries. The All-Terrain Site Investigation System can handle stairs, dense forests and wetlands, and tight spots inaccessible to larger rigs.
